Contract | Days | 13-Week Assignment | Outpatient | Four 9-hour shifts plus one 4-hour shift on Fridays

Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
• Design functional treatment programs that support effective patient return to community activities and progress patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients while ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
• Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations as assigned
• Adhere to discipline-specific state practice acts and regulatory requirements, and actively pursue professional development through continuing education and professional organizations

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist
• Neurology specialty experience required
• Proficiency in outpatient physical therapy evaluation and treatment
• Ability to maintain compliance with state-mandated continuing education requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in an outpatient neurology setting
• Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality of care initiatives
• Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students
