Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join as a traveling Physical Therapist in Bowling Green, KY at a Long Term Acute Care Hospital where you will support patients recovering from complex illness and neurological conditions. This role emphasizes patient and employee safety, interdisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based care in an outpatient neuro-focused rehab setting within an inpatient facility. You will complete comprehensive evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, document care according to regulatory and facility standards, and participate in discharge planning and family education.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Kentucky Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience in an outpatient neurological or inpatient rehab setting is required or completion of a clinical rotation in outpatient neuro preferred.
- Ability to complete timely, accurate documentation including evaluations, goals, progress notes, letters of medical necessity, discharge summaries, and charge entry per facility and payer requirements.
- Demonstrated competency in safe patient handling and materials handling procedures.
- Willingness to participate in student supervision and professional development activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in an outpatient neuro setting preferred.
- Experience with equipment trialing, adaptive/assistive device recommendations, and family/caregiver training preferred.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge, manage individual and group treatment sessions, and support performance improvement initiatives that enhance quality and safety.
