Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction.
• Manage a full hand therapy caseload including fabrication of splints and delivery of outpatient orthopedic and hand therapy services.
• Complete accurate and timely medical record documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines.
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities.
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations.
• Adhere to the applicable State Practice Act and regulatory requirements, maintaining professional licensure in good standing and fulfilling all continuing education obligations.

Required Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist licensure in good standing in the state of Florida.
• Demonstrated experience in outpatient orthopedic and hand therapy.
• Proficiency in splint fabrication and management of a full hand therapy caseload.
• Ability to complete clinical documentation accurately and in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Experience participating in or supervising student clinical education programs.
• Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies in an outpatient clinical setting.
