Growing together.This position is part of a structured Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program in partnership with Quinsigamond Community College. The program is designed to provide hands-on clinical experience while supporting formal training and certification. As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced healthcare professionals, gaining practical skills in patient care, administrative procedures, and medical technology within our medical group - all while earning and learning in a supportive, growth-focused environment within the community college.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of duties involving clinical and administrative patient care while adhering to the standards of the practice
- Provides care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Assists in the examination and treatment of patients by taking and recording vital signs such as blood pressures, temperatures, height, weight, etc.
- Assists physician and others with simple clinical/diagnostic procedures such as urine cultures, pregnancy tests, throat cultures, etc.
- Prepares treatment rooms. Performs a variety of clerical functions to support office functions
- Performs related duties to facilitate the efficient utilization of computer-based information

Required Qualifications:
- Completed High School Diploma or GED, at time of application
- Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) or completed within 90 days of date of hire for positions in direct patient care areas
- 1+ years of relevant clinical experience as a PCA, Critical Care Technician, CNA or nursing student (1+ years of clinical rotation), EMT or Medical Office Assistant
- Proven knowledge of office and laboratory procedures
- Proven knowledge of a variety of software applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, etc.
- Proven excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements:
- Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $25.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
