Education/Experience Minimum Required: Associate in applied science in Health Information Technology OR License Practical Nurse OR Relevant associate degree in health care Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) within 6 months of hire; OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN); OR certified in one of the following areas: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS); Certified Professional Coder (CPC); Certified Medical Billing Specialist (CMBS) or equivalent. Preferred: Associate in applied science in Health Information Technology with 3 years' experience. Work Environment Work conducted primarily in an office environment and in various meeting locations throughout the UHSH campus. Some travel between campuses.
